For this project Design Academy graduate Sara Kaiser asked me to help her with her installation “Collaborations on…”. The installation was a series of guided debates. The participants were instructed by pre-recorded voices that spoke to them via an earpiece.
For her installation she needed to play four audio files simultaneously. It needed to be low budget and battery powered.
The solution was to use four MP3 player modules that could be controlled simultaneously with the use of one hidden interface. This simple solution allowed the host to control the experience without the participants having to think about the technology too much, allowing them to fully focus on the experience.
For this project I used the following techniques:
-Analog circuit design
-Digital circuit design
More information on the installation can be found here.
